Alan is a Certified Financial Planner Practitioner™ with a true desire to understand each and every client’s needs through strategic conversation. He brings more than thirty years of experience in financial planning to his executive leadership role. He lends his expertise in financial management strategies to the service offerings he brings to Alderfer Bergen & Company with a true desire to understand each and every client’s needs through strategic conversation.

He invites clients into the Alderfer Bergen family with the intent of affecting positive change for their future financial health. He continues to be inspired by the challenge of figuring out the best solutions by lending his expertise in financial management strategies to the planning services Alderfer Bergen & Company provides to its clients.

Alan is a passionate supporter and co-founder of the Kosciusko County Riley Kids Fund. He hosts the annual Riley Radio Days Fundraiser to provide financial assistance to Kosciusko County Riley families. He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital, Board Member at Kosciusko County Alcohol and Tobacco Commission, Member of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Merit Board, and Board Member of the Catholic Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana.

He has lived in Warsaw throughout his life and is raising twin teenage daughters, Caroline and Katherine, with his wife, Kristine. Outside of enjoying time with his family, Alan is all in with a singular purpose—embracing the best parts of life and affecting positive change in the lives of others.
